Excitement

Ok I'm not gonna lie, I'm very excited about the forthcoming season. The transfers have been big and bold (Ronaldo, Kaka etc) interesting in a scratchy beardy way (Adebayor, Owen) and downright mental (Ibra- Eto plus Hleb and $64,000,000 if it goes through)

So here are my predictions for who will be Champions in each Country

England- Liverpool
Spain- Real Madrid
Italy- Inter
France- Marseille
Germany- Bayern Munich
Scotland- Celtic

Remember these are not the teams I want to win, just who I think will win. What do you think?

I confess I don't watch any of the German, Scottish and French leagues, too much of a hastle to find any games worth watching.
Real Madrid's backline is still a tad dodgy, but if the midfield and forwards pressure the opposition enough EVERY game so it becomes a habit, they have enough firepower to keep teams constantly on the defense. Benzema has a great touch! They need their FEW gritty central midfielders AND defenders in fit condition to wave off counterattacks though.
Inter Milan...they'll probably win again. I wonder what they'll do with the money from the Ibra trade, smh (so much for Barca criticizing Real's spending)
Liverpool?!!! Watch some Chelsea summer games. Ivanovic is turning into a real gem of a signing. And Drogba has reignited his passion for Chelsea; and that, not yet considering having Anelka!!! alongside him! That may well turn out to be the best duo in England. Who knows, maybe even Shevy can shake off the dust from his scoring boots (tall order) with Ancelotti in charge.
That being said, Liverpool have a great squad, great players in every position as does Chelsea; but Chelsea will be more consistent under Ancelotti. Rafa, except if he has undergone a transformation, is too much of a tinker. Maybe one day he'll understand that football players, are not like socks which can adapt to the left or right side effortlessly; it takes discipline and an understanding of ONE's position to stay consistent.
My verdict: Man City, haha. No really, Chelsea.

Zara put your blog in my line of sight. :)
